How can we help?

Accounts and the web app

Do I need an account?

On the web, yes: sign in at nourishjournal.app/app with an emailed code or Sign in with Apple, and your journal is kept in your account. In the iPhone app, an account is optional; without one, your journal stays on your iPhone. Signing in on iPhone with the same email or Apple ID lets you use the same journal and Premium in both places.

I didn’t get a sign-in code.

Codes come from no-reply@nourishjournal.app and expire after 10 minutes. Check your spam folder, then request a new code; a new code replaces the old one. If you use Sign in with Apple with a private relay address, the code reaches your inbox through Apple.

Does the web app use cookies?

Only one, to keep you signed in. It is strictly necessary, so there is no cookie banner, and it holds no personal or health details. Nourish uses no analytics or advertising cookies. See Sessions and the cookie.

Does the web app send reminders?

No. Reminders, widgets, the shot-day Live Activity, and Apple Health are in the iPhone app. Everything else, including logging, your treatment plan, insights, recipes, reports, and exports, works on the web.

Subscriptions

Why do I need a subscription to start?

Logging, your treatment plan, photo estimates, food search, recipes, reports, reminders, and backup are part of Nourish Premium, so setup starts with a subscription. On the web, your first Yearly subscription starts with a free week. In the iPhone app, eligible new subscribers get the first week free on any plan, and Nourish reminds you two days before it ends — by notification, or with a banner in the app if notifications are off. If you subscribed before, you can still view, export, and delete your journal after a subscription ends.

How do I cancel a subscription?

Started on the web: in the web app, open Settings → Subscription → Manage subscription, then cancel on Stripe’s billing page. You keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for. Started on iPhone: open iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Nourish and cancel before the next renewal. Deleting the app does not cancel either kind. Deleting your Nourish account cancels a web subscription immediately but not an App Store one.

Can I get a refund?

For a web subscription, see the refund terms, and contact us below if you were charged in error. App Store refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

I subscribed on iPhone. Do I pay again on the web?

No. Premium belongs to your Nourish account. Sign in to the iPhone app with your email or Apple ID, then sign in on the web with the same one. If you subscribed in the iPhone app without signing in, sign in there first so the subscription moves to your account; if it doesn’t appear, choose Restore purchases in the iPhone app.

How do I restore a purchase?

Open Nourish on iPhone, choose Restore purchases on the subscription screen, and use the Apple Account that made the purchase. A purchase may remain pending until Apple completes it. Restore does not restore an optional journal backup by itself. On the web, sign in with the same account and choose “Subscribed on iPhone?” on the plans screen to check again.

Can I export after my subscription ends?

Yes. Your journal opens read-only: saved history and entries, JSON and CSV exports, deletion, Restore purchases, Redeem a code, and subscription management remain available. Logging and Premium features such as food search, photo estimates, recipes, reminders, PDF reports, and backup require active access. You can restore or resubscribe at any time.

How do I add widgets or the shot-day Live Activity?

On iPhone, touch and hold your Home Screen or Lock Screen, tap Edit → Add Widget, and choose Nourish for protein, water, and your streak. For the Live Activity, turn it on during setup or in Settings → Reminders → Medication → Live Activity on dose day in Nourish; if it doesn’t appear, check that Live Activities are on for Nourish in iPhone Settings. Dose-day details appear only when reminder details are on; otherwise widgets and the Live Activity stay neutral. Remove a widget or turn the setting off anytime.

What is food noise?

The background chatter of thoughts about food. Rate it from 0 (quiet) to 10 (loud) on Today; it’s saved with that day’s check-in so you can see how it changes. It’s your own observation, not a diagnosis.

What do notification actions and milestones do?

From the iPhone Lock Screen, “+1 glass” saves water on your iPhone, “Log dose” and “Log symptoms” open Nourish, and snooze reminds you in an hour. With reminder details off (the default), medication reminders use general wording and no “Log dose” action. Milestones celebrate streaks and records you reach; turn celebrations off in Progress → Milestones.

Why are some nutrition values a dash?

The source or your entry did not provide that nutrient. Nourish keeps it unknown instead of calling it zero. A day’s recorded totals may be incomplete.

Where is my Apple Health data?

Health access is optional, iPhone-only, and controlled in Apple Health. Imported weight and step data remain on your iPhone; they are excluded from Nourish cloud backup, the web app, and AI analysis. Read permissions can be limited without Nourish being told which ones you denied.

How do I remove my account or journal?

On the web, open Settings → Account & sign-in → Delete account. On iPhone, open Settings → Account & backup → Delete account or local data and choose local records or account deletion. No iPhone? Delete the account from the web app. See the deletion guide for details.
